Bike route to Nin goes along the seaside which allows you to enjoy the scenery and to discover several small villages while you ride the bike – Diklo, Kožino, Petrčane. They are all situated on the coast and surrounded with old olive groves and pine forests. If you decide to take a rest and go for a swimming, no problem! Just choose the beach you like the most because there will be lots of them on your way to Nin.
Church St. Nicholas was built in late 11th century and at the beginning of 12th century. It is situated on the field of Prahulje and represents the only Dalmatian early-Romanesque church of that type. It is only 5,9 m long, 5,7 m wide and 6m high. This church has an important place in Croatian history because seven kings of Croatian dynasty were crowned there.
For those who want to learn a bit more about the history of Nin, The Museum of Nin Antiquities is the place where you should start. There you can see the remains of Prehistoric, Roman and Old Croatian life of Nin displayed in seven rooms depending on the period and the theme they describe. The most valuable findings are two original typical Croatian boats from 11th century called Condura Croatica.
